Cautionary Note About Satin Skin

Satin Skin Glycolic acid is a powerful and effective skin exfoliant that has the wonderful ability to bring back soft clear, and youthful skin, but it must be used in small amounts, especially the higher strength products that have a low pH (high acidity) and high free acid (high level of glycolic acid).  These products can cause discolorations that may persist for months.  It is best to start with the mildest products and then slowly, over months, move to stronger products as your skin becomes used to the exfoliation.  The face and neck are usually the most sensitive, while the arms and legs and feet may tolerate stronger products even from the start.  You may initially only want to use the product every second or third night, until you have almost no irritation, and then can start using it every day.  As time goes on, you can even use products, that do not irritate, twice or even three times a day to keep your skin free from oil and blemishes.  The only treatment required for irritation is to wash the product off with cool water, blot dry, and then not use the product for several days.  Daily use of our Sating Skin Sun Gel 17 is recommended for everyone, no matter where you live.
